Let’s Learn to Sew!
In this class, we’ll dive into the basics of using a sewing machine—no experience needed! The Y will have a few machines available, but if you have your own, bring it along! It's a great chance to get comfortable with how your specific machine works.
We’ll start with simple projects and gradually take on more complex creations as your skills grow. While we won’t be sewing clothes, we will be making fun and functional “non-wearable” items you’ll be proud to show off!
Along the way, you’ll pick up essential sewing lingo, learn how to read and follow patterns, and get hands-on practice with ironing techniques to press seams like a pro.
